Fragcamp Ep23: Bringing a Knife to a Gunfight and Winning! (COD Ghosts)
In Fragcamp Episode 23, we work on our reflexes by using a knife only loadout in Call of Duty: Ghosts. Dial up your sensitivity to heighten your combat instincts and sharpen your skills. I chose the Call of Duty: Ghosts Collision DLC Multiplayer Map as I feel it is a perfect starter map for a combat knife loadout as it doesn’t have long lines of sight for sniping and having your enemy shoot at you. Setting up your perks to have agility and marathon for fast movement is a necessity so that you can get out of sticky situations as well as having stealth perks so that you can sneak up on your enemy. In this instance, I also used scavenger, reflex, and extra lethal to replenish my throwing knives.
Because I am using a combat knife as my primary weapon, when I get a field order, it is usually either a melee attack or using my secondary weapon (a pistol with a knife), it is quite easy to complete the field order. Make sure to guard that care package well! I hit the jackpot with receiving an A10 Strafing Run.Because I have never used that before, or heard of it, I didn’t maximize it’s full potential.
Make sure to pick some good killstreak rewards and to build those killstreaks. Yes, I want you to rush, as this is practice with reflexes, but I also want you to think strategically and don’t get killed. Having the guard dog watch your six as well as calling in a Battle Hind helps to rack up those kills!
Final score: KD 51-19 !!! Now, with only me and my knife, my wits in utilizing field orders and killstreak rewards, and 11 recruit bots, who said you can’t bring a knife to a gunfight! Now, get out there and give it a try, soldier.
